In the 14th minute, Rordan McPaul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Raonall Rutherford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theobald Martyn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Barra Doherty took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barde McNamara. Barde McNamara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 25 minutes into the game, Barra Doherty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinasloe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castlejordan the free kick. The supporters of Castlejordan booed when Ballinasloe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barra Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barde McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braden Ryan in the 28th minute of the match. Braden Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Braden Ryan in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barde McNamara saved Castlejordan from getting behind. Raonall Rutherford who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Theobald Martyn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Braden Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barde McNamara having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rordan McPaul in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barde McNamara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Theobald Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raonall Rutherford in the 88th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dane Todd during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Ballinasloe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Todd to maneuver through the defense. Adamnan Coyle struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Barde McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballinasloe FC. After a defensive mix-up in Castlejordan's zone, Rordan McPaul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barde McNamara came out of the goal and Rordan McPaul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ballinasloe FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
