After 31 played minutes Corlee got a freekick which was hit by Bercan McLaughlin. Blamhac Caffrey's late challenge caught a Corlee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blamhac Caffrey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Corlee booed when Derrybeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blamhac Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Bergin Savic in the 40th minute really tested Shey Mullan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Keegan McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derrybeg's Shey Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keegan McSteve in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Braddon Cronin made a kick off. Keegan McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Shey Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shey Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keegan McSteve in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Keegan McSteve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shey Mullan. Derrybeg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Keegan McSteve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 74th minute, Keegan McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blamhac Caffrey hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77thth minute of the game Keegan McSteve who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derrybeg's Shey Mullan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfred McBrand made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Braddon Cronin immediately put the ball in play. Bergin Savic took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Shey Mullan. Derrybeg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Corlee's Pierson Duggan got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Corlee's Bercan McLaughlin got a free kick in the 91st minute.
