The audience thought a goal was coming when Raonall Rutherford got free with Rowland Moran in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th match minute, Cottian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randal Moran to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Raonall Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowland Moran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rowland Moran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raonall Rutherford in the 69th minute of the match. Harley McTom kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Raonall Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rowland Moran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmons Jameson's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Castlejordan's Barde McNamara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdia Prunty in the 83rd minute of play. In the 90th minute, Raonall Rutherford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rowland Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmons Jameson in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Gilbert McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cottian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rowland Moran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timmons Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If Raonall Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
