The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Spaville getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Barhart Holt hit a great ball. If Dermot McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cleary Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Beagan Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Spaville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tate Dillon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cleary Lester struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Beagan Harkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuilkillew. Finn Silke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermot McDonald in the 21st minute of the match. Dermot McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Finn Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Cleary Lester who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spaville's Beagan Harkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cleary Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Beagan Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beagan Harkin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Derin Frankson. Cleary Lester blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beagan Harkin having to make a save. Tate Dillon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Beagan Harkin made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Cuilkillew's goal looked a bit too open when Dermot McDonald came free, but Finn Silke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleary Lester was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.

Cuilkillew were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Spaville's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Derin Frankson took the corner. After having played for 55 minutes, Tate Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuilkillew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tate Dillon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beagan Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleary Lester in the 57th minute of the match. Tate Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Beagan Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Cleary Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dermot McDonald got free with Finn Silke in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Glenn Holt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dermot McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn Silke having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tate Dillon in the 69th minute of play forced Spaville's goalkeeper Beagan Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendanus McWillie hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Spaville's zone, Cleary Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beagan Harkin came out of the goal and Cleary Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beagan Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tate Dillon in the 85th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Spaville got a freekick which was hit by Brendanus McWillie. After a rather tough play, Cuilkillew's Glenn Holt got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Cleary Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beagan Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beagan Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleary Lester, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
