Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Ballinasloe FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Brady Gough hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes, Derrybeg's Alfred McBrand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Theobald Martyn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Derrybeg reached it. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Barra Doherty put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Shey Mullan. If Barra Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ballinasloe FC's Theobald Martyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braddon Cronin in the 11th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Adamnan Coyle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derrybeg's Shey Mullan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barra McWill got free with Theobald Martyn in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ballinasloe FC's Braden Ryan suffered a fractured collar bone after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 18 minutes, Aaden McPhil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Derrybeg and the Ballinasloe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ballinasloe FC made a substitution. Gealan Dunne replaced Braden Ryan. In the 19th minute, Aaden McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Ballinasloe FC's Rordan McPaul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shey Mullan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Shey Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gealan Dunne in the 27th minute of the match. Rordan McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Mullan having to interfere. Shey Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gealan Dunne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Derrybeg's zone, Gealan Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shey Mullan came out of the goal and Gealan Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Barra Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shey Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shey Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamnan Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ballinasloe FC's Adamnan Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Braddon Cronin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jarlath McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballinasloe FC's Rordan McPaul got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Derrybeg's Beale Dalton got a free kick in the 54th minute. Adamnan Coyle struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Shey Mullan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballinasloe FC. In the 59thth minute of the game Rordan McPaul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derrybeg's Shey Mullan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gealan Dunne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Derrybeg's zone, Rordan McPaul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shey Mullan came out of the goal and Rordan McPaul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Gealan Dunne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballinasloe FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Theobald Martyn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barra McWill went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Barra Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-4 became the score in the 76th minute when Rordan McPaul elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Adamnan Coyle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Shey Mullan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Shey Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adamnan Coyle in the 82nd minute of play. Theobald Martyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braddon Cronin in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Rordan McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braddon Cronin in the 89th minute of play forced Ballinasloe FC's goalkeeper Theobald Martyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Derrybeg's zone, Tevis Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shey Mullan came out of the goal and Tevis Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ballinasloe FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
