An unexpectedly hard shot by Davie Gough in the 10th minute of play forced Glenbonniv's goalkeeper Phelim Morrison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrie Moran didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. With 19 minutes on the clock, Barock McGlenn commited a dangerous tackle. Thanks to some nice moves Lee McStephen could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Barrie Moran however easily saved by the left post. Brine Gollogley hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Barrie Moran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lee McStephen got free with Barrie Moran in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davie Gough during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Corray getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Davie Gough hit a great ball. After 35 played minutes Glenbonniv got a freekick which was hit by Fiachra MaCollin. After a defensive mix-up in Glenbonniv's zone, Davie Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phelim Morrison came out of the goal and Davie Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Corray's Barrie Moran got control of the ball when Lee McStephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breadan Costello to strike the kick off in the second half. Derrick Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Phelim Morrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breadan Costello in the 54th minute of play forced Corray's goalkeeper Barrie Moran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breadan Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Glenbonniv's Lee McStephen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barrie Moran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Corray booed when Glenbonniv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donlan Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Donlan Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davie Gough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Phelim Morrison made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Davie Gough got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Barrie Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee McStephen in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Brendon Silke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee McStephen in the 87th minute of play forced Corray's goalkeeper Barrie Moran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Breadan Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Phelim Morrison managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Corray's Davie Gough fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corray players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glenbonniv.
