Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brenda Bayes kicked off to start the match. Ardhoom FC's Barhan Prunty got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Barhan Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardhoom FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barhan Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blian McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brenan Matthews made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Boroimhe Costello sent off a good shot on target. Boroimhe Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenan Matthews having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ardhoom FC's zone, Brenda Bayes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenan Matthews came out of the goal and Brenda Bayes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ardhoom FC's Brenan Matthews played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenda Bayes in the 14th minute of play. Brenda Bayes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Ardhoom FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gealan O'Neill hit a great ball. Banvan Keegan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Brenan Matthews made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenda Bayes in the 19th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Justin Savic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ardhoom FC and the Teeromoyle players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Justin Savic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ardhoom FC's Brenan Matthews got control of the ball when Boroimhe Costello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boroimhe Murphy 's late challenge caught a Teeromoyle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boroimhe Murphy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ardhoom FC's Boroimhe Murphy got a free kick in the 28th minute. Boroimhe Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenan Matthews having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Brenda Bayes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Brenan Matthews was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barcvni Dempsey hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barhan Prunty to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ardhoom FC's goalkeeper Brenan Matthews , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Blanaid Beckett's shot from long distance in the 56th minute was not bad at all, but Teeromoyle's Blian McGlynn knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 57th play minute Fachtna Quinnless came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Blian McGlynn. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ardhoom FC's Donoghue Doyle got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes in the game, Fachtna Quinnless fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Blian McGlynn having to interfere. Fachtna Quinnless struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Blian McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ardhoom FC. Barhan Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Blian McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Brenda Bayes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brenan Matthews . Ardhoom FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brenda Bayes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Brenan Matthews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendanus Hamilton , who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute, Brenda Bayes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Teeromoyle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Barhan Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teeromoyle's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
