Dónal Kelly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louie Willson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Dónal Kelly dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Louie Willson, 1-0. Dónal Kelly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Willson having to make a save. The supporters of Annesbrook booed when Frevanagh Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Branagain Mullan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dónal Kelly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Willson having to make a save. Bean Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derin McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dónal Kelly in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louie Willson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 22 played minutes Frevanagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brandon McBrandon. Robert Palmer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Louie Willson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Annesbrook's Robert Palmer got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Dónal Kelly in the 27th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The supporters of Annesbrook booed when Frevanagh Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandon McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Dónal Kelly elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Robert Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louie Willson having to interfere. Louie Willson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dónal Kelly in the 36th minute of play. Bean Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Derin McNamara made the kick off in the second half. When Robert Palmer fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Annesbrook's protests and gave Robert Palmer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Annesbrook getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Robert Palmer hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Robert Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Willson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Annesbrook's goal looked a bit too open when Derin McNamara came free, but Bean Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beamard Willson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Bean Rutherford acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bardan Ferguson. The audience was convinced that Dónal Kelly's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Louie Willson was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, Dónal Kelly notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Frevanagh Utd's Louie Willson. Louie Willson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Banban Tierney charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Banban Tierney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 82 minutes into the game, one of Annesbrook:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Bean Rutherford, was totally fooled by Frevanagh Utd's Pawd Walker, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 89 played minutes Frevanagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Pawd Walker. In the 98th minute, Beamard Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Frevanagh Utd's Fionntán McWill to fire away a dangerous shot which Bean Rutherford despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Annesbrook fully deserved thier win.
