Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cahir Harkin made the kick off which started today's match. When Toombeola's Cianán McPhilip in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clownings's goalie prevented a goal. Colmcille McStephen struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Isaac Lavine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toombeola. After a rather tough play, Clownings's Rannal Morrison got a free kick in the 6th minute. Toombeola's Cianán McPhilip got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colmcille McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clownings's Isaac Lavine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Clownings from getting a goal against them. Breasal Barrett hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Colmcille McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Lavine having to interfere. Cianán McPhilip might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Lavine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cianán McPhilip ran back to his position shaking his head. When Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clownings's goalie prevented a goal. Colmcille McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Isaac Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clownings's goalie prevented a goal. 39 minutes into the match, Colmcille McStephen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaac Lavine. Clownings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Colmcille McStephen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Clownings's zone, Colmcille McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Lavine came out of the goal and Colmcille McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Braon McAlphie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaac Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bec Savic in the 49th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Colmcille McStephen made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Bec Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Lavine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Colmcille McStephen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toombeola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 64 played minutes Toombeola got a freekick which was hit by Blathmac McPhilip. In the 67th minute, Colmcille McStephen made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Lavine. Clownings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 71 minutes of play, Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaac Lavine was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colmcille McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Lavine having to interfere. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Colmcille McStephen sped through Clownings's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isaac Lavine. Bec Savic struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Isaac Lavine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toombeola. Cianán McPhilip hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Bec Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th match minute, Clownings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braden Mulvihill to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Clownings booed when Toombeola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blathmac McPhilip didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Colmcille McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Toombeola had played much better football throughout.
