Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Colmcille McStephen started the match with the kick off. Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bec Savic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Brak Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Toombeola defense, Donegal Holt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blanche McPaul. The Toombeola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blanche McPaul should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Colmcille McStephen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brak Cooney was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Toombeola booed when Calliagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brefni Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Calliagh's zone, Blathmac McPhilip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brak Cooney came out of the goal and Blathmac McPhilip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Toombeola's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Savic came free, but Blanche McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Toombeola's goalkeeper Blanche McPaul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donegal Holt. Bec Savic struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Brak Cooney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toombeola. Brak Cooney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bec Savic, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Calliagh's Alfred Savic slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blanche McPaul. That made the score 2-1 after 27 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colmcille McStephen in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brak Cooney saved Calliagh from getting behind. Brefni Johnson charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brefni Johnson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Calliagh's Brefni Johnson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Colmcille McStephen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brak Cooney. Calliagh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Colmcille McStephen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The audience was convinced that Colmcille McStephen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brak Cooney was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Blanche McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Savic in the 53rd minute of the match. The Toombeola fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58th match minute, Calliagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bec Morrison to maneuver through the defense. The Toombeola fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Toombeola's Colmcille McStephen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Calliagh's Brak Cooney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Calliagh from getting a goal against them. After 74 minutes Calliagh's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cianán McPhilip who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Toombeola's corner Cianán McPhilip fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Brak Cooney quite easily take care of the ball. If Colmcille McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Toombeola's Bec Savic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brak Cooney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. In the 81stth minute of the game Colmcille McStephen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calliagh's Brak Cooney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Savic in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blanche McPaul saved Toombeola from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Calliagh's goalkeeper Brak Cooney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Colmcille McStephen. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Colmcille McStephen took a quick shot and it went in 2-6 without a chance for Brak Cooney to make any attempt to save it. Biviti McPhilip kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Colmcille McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brak Cooney having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Toombeola left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Calliagh.
