Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Baoithin Sheridan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Donal Cronin came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Annesbrook's Dónal Kelly. But to his dismay, Dónal Kelly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 6thth minute of the game Dónal Kelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beennamweel's Donal Cronin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Baoithin Sheridan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beennamweel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baoithin Sheridan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donal Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dónal Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dónal Kelly struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Donal Cronin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annesbrook. Robert Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donal Cronin having to interfere. Dónal Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Donal Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Donal Cronin managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Annesbrook's Robert Palmer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 34 played minutes Annesbrook got a freekick which was hit by Artur McLiam. In the 36th minute, Baoithin Sheridan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bean Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bree Dalton in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Baoithin Sheridan notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Annesbrook's Bean Rutherford. Bean Rutherford was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 played minutes Annesbrook got a freekick which was hit by Banban Tierney. Bean Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baoithin Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes, Beamard Willson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Annesbrook and the Beennamweel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Annesbrook got a freekick which was hit by Beamard Willson. Donal Cronin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dónal Kelly in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dónal Kelly to make the kick off. Beennamweel's Donal Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dónal Kelly in the 53rd minute of play. Donal Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dónal Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 63rd minute Dónal Kelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donal Cronin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Annesbrook booed when Beennamweel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beothach O'Keefe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teigue Barrett took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donal Cronin. Beennamweel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Donal Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dónal Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Beennamweel's zone, Robert Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donal Cronin came out of the goal and Robert Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dónal Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donal Cronin having to interfere. When Dónal Kelly came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Annesbrook fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dónal Kelly couldn't finish the play. Donal Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dónal Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, one of Beennamweel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Beennamweel. In the 98thth minute of the game Baoithin Sheridan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Annesbrook's Bean Rutherford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Despite being the better team, Annesbrook failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
