The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cahir Harkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Louis McAaron fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meens's protests and gave Louis McAaron a yellow card for diving instead. Louis McAaron hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match.
