Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Beale Lavine started the match with the kick off. Robert Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Roland McJames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blian Grant hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Beltany Rogers fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derrooly FC's protests and gave Beltany Rogers a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Annesbrook booed when Derrooly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beltany Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dónal Kelly sped through Derrooly FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roland McJames. Roland McJames came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Annesbrook's Dónal Kelly. But to his dismay, Dónal Kelly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur McLiam in the 31st minute of play forced Derrooly FC's goalkeeper Roland McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piers Willson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The supporters of Derrooly FC booed when Annesbrook was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Banban Tierney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blian Grant hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Roland McJames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dónal Kelly to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Beamard Willson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland McJames was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Derrooly FC's Roland McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beamard Willson in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Derrooly FC's Piers Willson got a free kick in the 57th minute. Beale Lavine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bean Rutherford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Annesbrook's Dónal Kelly got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Derrooly FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Breannain Mullan hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes Annesbrook got a freekick which was hit by Dónal Kelly. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur McLiam got free with Roland McJames in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joseph Murphy hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Denny McLian charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denny McLian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 95 minutes into the game, Piers Willson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derrooly FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Annesbrook the free kick. After 95 played minutes Derrooly FC got a freekick which was hit by Piers Willson. The Derrooly FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Annesbrook were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
