Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwin Perth in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louie Willson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Branagain Mullan kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Breck McPhilip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Clownings got a freekick which was hit by Braden Mulvihill. Clownings's Isaac Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derin McNamara in the 22nd minute of play. Brandon McBrandon's late challenge caught a Clownings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brandon McBrandon helped the player get up and apologised. Edwin Perth scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Louie Willson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaac Lavine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur Cooney in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Cahir Harkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cahir Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cahir Harkin was the one to do the kick off. Derin McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Lavine having to interfere. Berrigan MaCollin struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Louie Willson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clownings. Arthur Cooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Derin McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Lavine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Perth blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Willson having to make a save. The Frevanagh Utd supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Clownings's performance. The match ended with a win for Clownings.
