Patraic Palmer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 11 minutes, Rolan McPeter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cohunon and the Jamestown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Rolan McPeter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patraic Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginald McStephen in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Reginald McStephen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Patraic Palmer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25thth minute of the game Breffni McIan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cohunon's Patraic Palmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes in the game Caimin McPhil did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Reginald McStephen. In the 28th minute Breffni McIan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patraic Palmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cashel Caffrey made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Caimin McPhil. During the 34th minute of the match Rolan McPeter completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rolan McPeter a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rolan McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Donlan Deery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reginald McStephen made a kick off. Harvey McPhilip came free in the 53rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Boddibevve Willson, but to the joy of Jamestown's supporters the ball went over. In the 55th minute of the match, Breffni McIan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Patraic Palmer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Breffni McIan could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Patraic Palmer however easily saved by the left post. Patraic Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donlan Deery in the 66th minute of the match. Patraic Palmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Breffni McIan in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Cohunon's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald McStephen came free, but Patraic Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patraic Palmer made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Breffni McIan sent off a good shot on target. Breffni McIan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patraic Palmer having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Cohunon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bat Ferguson to maneuver through the defense. Jamestown's Cashel Caffrey shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Patraic Palmer but with some difficulty. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Patraic Palmer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Patraic Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginald McStephen in the 96th minute of play. Jamestown's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
