Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bradaigh Benson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Milltown's goalkeeper Bhrighde Hamilton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradaigh Benson in the 6th minute of play forced Muineagh's goalkeeper Bowie Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milltown's Barcvni McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rannal Jameson hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Bhrighde Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bran Scully in the 17th minute of play. Herne McWillie kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Paud Robinson's late challenge caught a Muineagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paud Robinson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Milltown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paud Robinson to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nolyn Hughes during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31stth minute of the game Bran Scully who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milltown's Bhrighde Hamilton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilian Holt in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bhrighde Hamilton saved Milltown from getting behind. After having played for 38 minutes, Bran Scully managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muineagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bran Scully was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilian Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bhrighde Hamilton having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bran Scully made the kick off in the second half. When Gilian Holt came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Muineagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilian Holt couldn't finish the play. Bradaigh Benson struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Bowie Delaney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milltown. In the 60th minute Barcvni McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bowie Delaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bran Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bhrighde Hamilton having to interfere. Muineagh's Gilian Holt got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bradaigh Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bowie Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bowie Delaney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barcvni McJohnny went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bowie Delaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradaigh Benson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barcvni McJohnny might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bowie Delaney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barcvni McJohnny ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bradaigh Benson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rannal Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilian Holt during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes Muineagh got a freekick which was hit by Gilian Holt. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
