Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Harvey McPhilip kicked off to start the match. Cohunon's Blake McBjarton quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nollaig Doherty, made in the 3rd minute of the game. After 4 played minutes Cohunon got a freekick which was hit by Herich Gough. 5 minutes into the match, Blanaid McBrand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patraic Palmer. Cohunon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blanaid McBrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Rolan McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raymun Dempsey got free with Patraic Palmer in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Cohunon getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rolan McPeter hit a great ball. 17 minutes in the game, Blanaid McBrand dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 26th minute, Blanaid McBrand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Cohunon's Patraic Palmer got control of the ball when Dennis Ramsey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blanaid McBrand in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patraic Palmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cohunon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Dennis Ramsey scored to the left of an out of position Patraic Palmer, making the score, 2-0. Cohunon's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Blanaid McBrand 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Patraic Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blanaid McBrand in the 46th minute of the match. Raymun Dempsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Patraic Palmer made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blanaid McBrand made a kick off. Patraic Palmer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donncha Myler went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Patraic Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanaid McBrand in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanaid McBrand in the 59th minute of play forced Cohunon's goalkeeper Patraic Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blanaid McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Patraic Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blake McBjarton charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blake McBjarton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Tallaght a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nollaig Doherty, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cohunon's Patraic Palmer. 5-0. After 85 minutes, Rolan McPeter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cohunon and the Tallaght players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cohunon's Rolan McPeter got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Raymun Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patraic Palmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cohunon's Patraic Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanaid McBrand in the 91st minute of play. Patraic Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymun Dempsey in the 94th minute of play.
