Rylie Johnson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Basil McPhilip made a huge save. Lewy Deery hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Rylie Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tormaigh Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basil McPhilip stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tormaigh Benson's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Tormaigh Benson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Basil McPhilip saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Calfstown's Basil McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tormaigh Benson in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Sherlock Kelly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Coileán Myler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sherlock Kelly was the one to do the kick off. Kilbraney's Coileán Myler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherlock Kelly in the 71st minute of play. Birr Crowe came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Coileán Myler could save by the left post. In the 79th minute, Tormaigh Benson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sherlock Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kilbraney's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamin Coyle in the 94th minute. The corner led Kilbraney's Benjamin Coyle to fire away a dangerous shot which Basil McPhilip despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Birr Crowe hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After 98 played minutes Calfstown got a freekick which was hit by Breannain Byrne. In the 99th minute of the match Benjamin Coyle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basil McPhilip showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
