Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bradaigh Benson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 11th minute, Berkeley Cronin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When %teams%'s Bradaigh Benson was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 13 minutes into the game. Barnaby Murphy was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Bradaigh Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Barnaby Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes, Berkeley Cronin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clon and the Milltown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Berkeley Cronin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Clon's zone, Barcvni McJohnny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barnaby Murphy came out of the goal and Barcvni McJohnny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bradaigh Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Clon's Barnaby Murphy got control of the ball when Barcvni McJohnny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Milltown's Bhrighde Hamilton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beamard Dimson in the 35th minute of play. Eoghan Tracy struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Bhrighde Hamilton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clon. Beamard Dimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bhrighde Hamilton having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beamard Dimson to make the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match, Beamard Dimson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bhrighde Hamilton saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Barnaby Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bradaigh Benson's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Barcvni McJohnny took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barnaby Murphy. Barnaby Murphy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barcvni McJohnny in the 65th minute of play forced Clon's goalkeeper Barnaby Murphy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Clon getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Berkeley Cronin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clon's zone, Bradaigh Benson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barnaby Murphy came out of the goal and Bradaigh Benson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barnaby Murphy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradaigh Benson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute of the match Caroll Sheridan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barnaby Murphy skillfully saved the ball. Barnaby Murphy came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Milltown's Bradaigh Benson. But to his dismay, Bradaigh Benson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Milltown getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Barcvni McJohnny hit a great ball. After 89 minutes of play Milltown's Barcvni McJohnny was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 89th match minute, Milltown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barcvni McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. Bradaigh Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Barnaby Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Milltown's goal looked a bit too open when Beamard Dimson came free, but Bhrighde Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clon's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
