After 22 played minutes Kilbraney got a freekick which was hit by Dugan Frankson. In the 25th minute Reginald McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coileán Myler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breffni McIan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coileán Myler having to interfere. In the 38th play minute Breffni McIan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Coileán Myler. 1-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reginald McStephen was the one to do the kick off.
