Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Blanaid McBrand made the kick off which started today's match. Blanaid McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Basil McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rollan Murphy kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. If Raymun Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Blanaid McOliver sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basil McPhilip skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Basil McPhilip managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Tallaght's Raymun Dempsey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Birr Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Raymun Dempsey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basil McPhilip was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Raymun Dempsey sped through Calfstown's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basil McPhilip. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blanaid McBrand in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basil McPhilip prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sherlock Kelly made a kick off. Basil McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanaid McBrand in the 54th minute of play. Raymun Dempsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basil McPhilip having to make a save. If Raymun Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donncha Myler struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Basil McPhilip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tallaght. After 65 minutes, Breannain Byrne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calfstown and the Tallaght players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Calfstown getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Breannain Byrne hit a great ball. Blanaid McBrand struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Basil McPhilip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tallaght. Blanaid McBrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basil McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymun Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Donncha Myler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Lewy Deery in the 75th minute really tested Daron McPhil's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 81 minutes, Raymun Dempsey made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Calfstown's Basil McPhilip tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Calfstown's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin McAlphie came free, but Basil McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calfstown's goalkeeper Basil McPhilip, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Calfstown's goal looked a bit too open when Raymun Dempsey came free, but Basil McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basil McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymun Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. A hard shot by Bailey Caffey from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Daron McPhil's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tallaght's Raymun Dempsey got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Tallaght were the better team. Tallaght's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
