Cohunon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theobald McPaul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Patraic Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trevor Matthews , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Cohunon's goal looked a bit too open when Theobald McPaul came free, but Patraic Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Trevor Matthews had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patraic Palmer. In the 25thth minute of the game Theobald McPaul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cohunon's Patraic Palmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 28 played minutes Cohunon got a freekick which was hit by Berrin Crowe. Patraic Palmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theobald McPaul's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Cohunon's goal looked a bit too open when Trevor Matthews came free, but Patraic Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bat Ferguson's late challenge caught a Shanvally's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bat Ferguson helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cohunon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Shanvally a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Becan McIan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cohunon's Patraic Palmer. 0-3. Shanvally's Brendon McPhil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Shanvally from getting a goal against them. Blake McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Ryland McAaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 minutes of play, Shanvally's Hugh Coyle made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patraic Palmer was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Cohunon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Shanvally were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harvey McPhilip to make the kick off. The throw-in from Becan McIan in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cohunon's Harvey McPhilip. In the 56th minute Blake McBjarton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon McPhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugh Coyle got free with Patraic Palmer in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patraic Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theobald McPaul in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Harvey McPhilip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon McPhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Trevor Matthews ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patraic Palmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Hugh Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Patraic Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cohunon! Becan McIan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Bat Ferguson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. A collision led to Cohunon getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Bat Ferguson hit a great ball. If Theobald McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
