Harley Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bras McDonald struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Bowie Delaney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killycross. If Gilian Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Irving Branson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Killycross's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilian Holt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Muineagh booed when Killycross was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bras McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bras McDonald in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bowie Delaney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Banvan Cronin hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Killycross's Irving Branson in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muineagh's goalie prevented a goal. Killycross's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
