Kilbraney's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Gilian Holt scored to the left of an out of position Coileán Myler, making the score, 2-0. 27 minutes into the game, Rylie Johnson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bowie Delaney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Bran Scully fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Kilbraney getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bartel McGlenn hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Muineagh's zone, Rylie Johnson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bowie Delaney came out of the goal and Rylie Johnson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bowie Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tormaigh Benson in the 39th minute of play. When Rylie Johnson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kilbraney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rylie Johnson couldn't finish the play. Bowie Delaney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tormaigh Benson in the 43rd minute of the match. If Rylie Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tormaigh Benson was the one to do the kick off. Gilian Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coileán Myler having to interfere. The supporters of Muineagh booed when Kilbraney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tormaigh Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilian Holt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Coileán Myler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Tormaigh Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilbraney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tormaigh Benson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kilbraney's Coileán Myler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bran Scully in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tormaigh Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilbraney's supporters rose to their feet, but Tormaigh Benson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bowie Delaney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Eoin Ferguson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dillon Grant in the 76th minute of play forced Kilbraney's goalkeeper Coileán Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Rian McLaughlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tormaigh Benson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. Kilbraney's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Muineagh had won, even though Kilbraney had held more of the ball.
