Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Theobald McPaul took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Jamestown's Reginald McStephen got a free kick in the 6th minute. Brendon McPhil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginald McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Brendon McPhil was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Reginald McStephen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reginald McStephen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Jamestown's Caimin McPhil suffered a concussion after 17 minutes and had to leave the field. Harold Murphy charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harold Murphy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Shanvally's Harold Murphy got a free kick in the 18th minute. Jamestown's Cashel Caffrey shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Brendon McPhil but with some difficulty. Coran McOliver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendon McPhil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Becan McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Brogan Doherty hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Shanvally getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Brogan Doherty hit a great ball. Breffni McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theobald McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Boddibevve Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jamestown's Boddibevve Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugh Coyle in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breffni McIan was the one to do the kick off. Fiachra Kirby thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Brendon McPhil, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 2-0. Breffni McIan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon McPhil having to interfere. Brendon McPhil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breffni McIan in the 59th minute of the match. If Hugh Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugh Coyle got free with Boddibevve Willson in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Becan McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jamestown's Cashel Caffrey got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 minutes of play, Jamestown's Breffni McIan made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendon McPhil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shanvally's Brendon McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breffni McIan in the 79th minute of play. Breffni McIan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon McPhil having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Breffni McIan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamestown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breffni McIan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breffni McIan scored 5-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brendon McPhil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
