Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tormaigh Benson made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Kilbraney booed when Milltown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paud Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Ron Quinnless was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilbraney's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milltown the free kick. A collision led to Kilbraney getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ron Quinnless hit a great ball. Milltown's Nolyn Hughes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kilbraney. Bhrighde Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tormaigh Benson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barcvni McJohnny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Bradaigh Benson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Coileán Myler. Gordan Colwell struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Coileán Myler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milltown. In the 31st match minute, Milltown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paud Robinson to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Benjamin Coyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gordan Colwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Milltown's Bradaigh Benson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Coileán Myler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Milltown's zone, Tormaigh Benson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bhrighde Hamilton came out of the goal and Tormaigh Benson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coileán Myler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barcvni McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kilbraney players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Milltown were winning 0-1.

Barcvni McJohnny might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Coileán Myler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barcvni McJohnny ran back to his position shaking his head. After 71 minutes, Bradaigh Benson made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Kilbraney's Coileán Myler tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Coileán Myler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradaigh Benson in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kilbraney's Ron Quinnless got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Gordan Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barcvni McJohnny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Coileán Myler made a huge save. Barcvni McJohnny came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Coileán Myler could save by the left post. Milltown's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
