After a defensive mix-up in Tallaght's zone, Bat Deans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daron McPhil came out of the goal and Bat Deans tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 15th match minute, Tallaght was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. St Tiknock's Aydemir Cinel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tallaght. In the 25th minute, Piers Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bodibeua Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blanaid McBrand charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blanaid McBrand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blanaid McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Bodibeua Johnson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daron McPhil having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Dennis Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eoghan Byrne hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With 41 minutes on the clock, Aydemir Cinel commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.

The wind increased when Blanaid McBrand made the kick off in the second half. Bat Deans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daron McPhil having to interfere. When St Tiknock's Kalev Raudsoo in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tallaght's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Tallaght's Piers Willson got a free kick in the 57th minute. Dónal McTommy might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daron McPhil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dónal McTommy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute, Kalev Raudsoo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daron McPhil was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Daron McPhil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalev Raudsoo in the 63rd minute of the match. St Tiknock's Gearóid McVictor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save St Tiknock from getting a goal against them. St Tiknock's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Raymun Dempsey scored to the left of an out of position Gearóid McVictor, making the score, 1-2. Kalev Raudsoo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daron McPhil having to interfere. After 71 minutes of play, St Tiknock's Kalev Raudsoo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daron McPhil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daron McPhil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breas Robinson in the 75th minute of play. Kalev Raudsoo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daron McPhil having to interfere. Raymun Dempsey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gearóid McVictor firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kalev Raudsoo struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Daron McPhil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Tiknock. Cianán Ryan hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Braonain John took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daron McPhil. Tallaght's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kalev Raudsoo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daron McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalev Raudsoo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kalev Raudsoo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwin McAlphie during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edwin McAlphie hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
