When Jamestown's Breffni McIan in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clon's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reginald McStephen in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barnaby Murphy saved Clon from getting behind. When Coran McOliver fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamestown's protests and gave Coran McOliver a yellow card for diving instead. If Breffni McIan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Clon's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald McStephen came free, but Barnaby Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breffni McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reginald McStephen was the one to do the kick off. Beamard Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beamard Dimson in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boddibevve Willson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boddibevve Willson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beamard Dimson's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Beamard Dimson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donlan Deery's late challenge caught a Clon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donlan Deery helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Jamestown got a freekick which was hit by Donlan Deery. In the 67th minute of the match Cianán McCollion sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boddibevve Willson skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginald McStephen in the 79th minute of play forced Clon's goalkeeper Barnaby Murphy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Breffni McIan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berkeley Cronin in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boddibevve Willson prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
