When Muineagh's Bran Scully in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Calfstown's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Calfstown booed when Muineagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Sheridan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Gilian Holt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bran Scully's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basil McPhilip was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Gilian Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPhilip having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Rian McLaughlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basil McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bran Scully in the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilian Holt in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basil McPhilip saved Calfstown from getting behind. After a long run with the ball, Lewy Deery did a trick in the 43rd minute in front of Muineagh's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by Calfstown's Lewy Deery! After a rather tough play, Calfstown's Bailey Caffey got a free kick in the 47th minute. It was beautiful to see Muineagh's Dillon Grant in action when he in the 49th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sherlock Kelly was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Muineagh's goal looked a bit too open when Sherlock Kelly came free, but Bowie Delaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Muineagh defense, Sherlock Kelly kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bowie Delaney. The Muineagh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bowie Delaney should have stopped the shot. Calfstown's Basil McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bran Scully in the 60th minute of play. Birr Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bowie Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bran Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Muineagh's Bran Scully slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basil McPhilip. That made the score 2-2 after 71 minutes of play. After 74 played minutes Calfstown got a freekick which was hit by Breannain Byrne. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Gilian Holt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bowie Delaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sherlock Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilian Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Basil McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Muineagh players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Calfstown from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
