After 26 played minutes Ballytrasna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bhrighde McJohn. After a defensive mix-up in Ballytrasna AFC's zone, Daniel Keegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philib McJon came out of the goal and Daniel Keegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Robin Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lissanisky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Dempsey couldn't finish the play. Daniel Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Bradon Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Keegan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iarla Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bhrighde McJohn's late challenge caught a Lissanisky's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bhrighde McJohn helped the player get up and apologised. Bhrighde McJohn kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Daniel Keegan scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philib McJon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Philib McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Iarla Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philib McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lissanisky. Philib McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
