Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Binkeeragh FC's goalkeeper Harley McPaul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keeghan McTommy. Abban Holt might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barry McLian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abban Holt ran back to his position shaking his head. Harley McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Royan McCready in the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Binkeeragh FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Banon McJohn hit a great ball. After 24 minutes, Ainnle McPaul mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Binkeeragh FC and the Rahans players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Binkeeragh FC! In the 32nd minute, Flann Horgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flann Horgan during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Royan McCready came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Rahans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Royan McCready couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Royan McCready got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Royan McCready in the 47th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Harley McPaul kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Royan McCready stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rahans booed when Binkeeragh FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flann Horgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barry McLian made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Banon McJohn sent off a good shot on target. Rahans's Barry McLian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Rahans from getting a goal against them. After 65 played minutes, Binkeeragh FC's Hugh Rutherford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Barry McLian came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Binkeeragh FC reached it. Royan McCready fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harley McPaul having to interfere. Banon McJohn struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Barry McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Binkeeragh FC. In the 80th minute, Rahans's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Banon McJohn fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Abban Holt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binkeeragh FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abban Holt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barry McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Binkeeragh FC's goal looked a bit too open when Keeghan McTommy came free, but Harley McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Banon McJohn struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Barry McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Binkeeragh FC.
