After some careless play in the Quinalahy defense, Banon McJohn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benen Johnson. Quinalahy's Benen Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Banon McJohn in the 41st minute of play. When Flann McAlphie fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quinalahy's protests and gave Flann McAlphie a yellow card for diving instead. Flann McAlphie hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Banon McJohn made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Binkeeragh FC's Banon McJohn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benen Johnson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Harley McPaul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rowen McBjarton's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quinalahy's goalkeeper Benen Johnson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Banon McJohns short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Benen Johnson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Binkeeragh FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Scothine Todd hit a great ball. If Banon McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flann McAlphie kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Quinalahy's Benen Johnson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Quinalahy from getting a goal against them. Quinalahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Rowen McBjarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harley McPaul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Binkeeragh FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
