Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Quinalahy's zone, Iarla Rutherford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benen Johnson came out of the goal and Iarla Rutherford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quinalahy's Benen Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rorey Willson in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Quinalahy's Brefni McCready got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Quinalahy's Benen Johnson got control of the ball when Iarla Rutherford tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rorey Willson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Quinalahy's Bercan McBrandon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philib McJon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Rorey Willson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Quinalahy's Bercan McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philib McJon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Bercan McBrandon made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Beglan Glen Crowe had to leave the field with a concussion. In the 55th minute, Bhrighde McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Quinalahy's Colmcille Crowe broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 59 minutes of play, Ballytrasna AFC's Iarla Rutherford made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benen Johnson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bercan McBrandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Ballytrasna AFC's goalkeeper Philib McJon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rowen McBjarton. Rorey Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iarla Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Iarla Rutherford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Benen Johnson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ballytrasna AFC's Rorey Willson got a free kick in the 78th minute. Rowen McBjarton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Philib McJon made a huge save. Benen Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rorey Willson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Quinalahy's goal looked a bit too open when Iarla Rutherford came free, but Benen Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Quinalahy getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Bercan McBrandon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iarla Rutherford in the 89th minute of play forced Quinalahy's goalkeeper Benen Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rowen McBjarton struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Philib McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quinalahy. Quinalahy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
