Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Bow Deans started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bradley Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Pallasgreen AFC's Paud McTommy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beccan Tierney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match Pallasgreen AFC got a corner. Fivealley AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rourke Tierney ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Rourke Tierney got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Beccan Tierney quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Geoffrey McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Pallasgreen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Barrie Harkin. Pallasgreen AFC's Trevor Harkin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raymond McPhil, made in the 28th minute of the game. Brosnan McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dinny Martyn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ailill Taylor in the 32nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Brannon Barrett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beccan Tierney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Trevor Harkin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pallasgreen AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fivealley AFC the free kick. In the 56th minute, Trevor Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brannon Barrett might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beccan Tierney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brannon Barrett ran back to his position shaking his head. Paud McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beccan Tierney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bow Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rorey Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute Paud McTommy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beccan Tierney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinny Martyn came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Fivealley AFC's Donal Coyle. But to his dismay, Donal Coyle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0.
