The penalty shot was made by Brecc Dimson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cloonfinnaun's Boudibiua McIan. 0-1. Cloonfinnaun's Boudibiua McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loughlin Dimson in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darren McJohn in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boudibiua McIan saved Cloonfinnaun from getting behind. When Loughlin Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cloonfinnaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loughlin Dempsey couldn't finish the play. After 35th play minutes Loughlin Dempsey shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Bohannon Tierney and just under the crossbar into goal. Darren McJohn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Loughlin Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Darren McJohn made a precise shot to the right of Boudibiua McIan. Cloonfinnaun's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darren McJohn made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Leon McVictor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloonfinnaun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon McVictor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Darren McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cloonfinnaun getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Bragain McPhil hit a great ball. Cloonfinnaun's Leon McVictor got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bohannon Tierney having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Loughlin Dimson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boudibiua McIan. That made the score 2-3 in the 85 minute of play. If Bragain McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ravan Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Darren McJohn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dromcunnig eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
