Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Braoin McPhilip kicked off to start the match. Lochlainn Branson kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 3 played minutes, Gortnasate's Harkin McVictor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Scott McGlynn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gortnasate reached it. 5 minutes into the game, Eoin Kirby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Beothach McAlphie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Braoin McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Scott McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braoin McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie got control of the ball when Eoin Kirby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Gortnasate from getting a goal against them. Casey Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Lough AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Braoin McPhilip came free, but Scott McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Phillip McDonald in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lough AFC's Treno Savic. The Lough AFC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Lough AFC's Eoin Kirby looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eoin Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Beothach McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casey Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott McGlynn having to interfere. With 31 minutes on the clock, Arnold Dalton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Eoin Kirby did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Beothach McAlphie 36 minutes into the match. Bryan Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Beothach McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 44 in the game by Eoin Kirby from a close distance when the talented Beothach McAlphie managed to make a qualified save. Gortnasate's players were relieved. Eoin Kirbys short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Beothach McAlphie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cahir McGlenn hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eoin Kirby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cahir McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Gortnasate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cahir McGlenn couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eoin Kirby in the 54th minute of play forced Gortnasate's goalkeeper Beothach McAlphie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Gavin Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott McGlynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Gortnasate's goal looked a bit too open when Eoin Kirby came free, but Beothach McAlphie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beothach McAlphie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Lester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Eoin Kirby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Beothach McAlphie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beothach McAlphie came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lough AFC's Eoin Kirby. But to his dismay, Eoin Kirby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Cahir McGlenn hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Cahir McGlenn kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Eoin Kirby struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Beothach McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lough AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braoin McPhilip in the 86th minute of play forced Lough AFC's goalkeeper Scott McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Lough AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
