After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Gavin Cassin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortnasate's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavin Cassin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baydan Keegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berkley McDonald hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bearchan Quinnless got free with Beothach McAlphie in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Glangristeen's Art McPhil dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Beothach McAlphie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes in the game, Brecc Prunty fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Beothach McAlphie having to interfere. Art McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beothach McAlphie having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Duff McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, Glangristeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harkin McVictor couldn't finish the play. Brecc Prunty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Beothach McAlphie made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Art McPhil made a kick off. Brecc Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Beothach McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baydan Keegan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braoin McPhilip's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Brecc Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baydan Keegan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Casey Coyle went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
