Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baran McStephen kicked off to start the match. Quinn Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lougheraherk's Rowan Perth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baran McStephen in the 6th minute of play. Bedilia Sheridan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Bartel McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilcronagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartel McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Quinn Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bodibeua Prunty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quinn Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodibeua Prunty having to interfere. Bodibeua Prunty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ailín McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 21st match minute, Kilcronagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cáirbre McSteven to maneuver through the defense. Quinn Palmer might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bodibeua Prunty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quinn Palmer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute, Ailín McJon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ailín McJon might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bodibeua Prunty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ailín McJon ran back to his position shaking his head. Quinn Palmer took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bodibeua Prunty. Bodibeua Prunty dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Quinn Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Kilcronagh getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Conan Kelly hit a great ball. When Braedon McPhilip fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lougheraherk's protests and gave Braedon McPhilip a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lougheraherk's Braedon McPhilip got a free kick in the 37th minute. A collision led to Lougheraherk getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ailín McJon hit a great ball. Rowan Perth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baran McStephen in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baran McStephen in the 47th minute of play forced Lougheraherk's goalkeeper Rowan Perth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Ailín McJon made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Lougheraherk got a corner. Kilcronagh's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiarnan Palmer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tiarnan Palmer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bodibeua Prunty quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Baran McStephen came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Kilcronagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baran McStephen couldn't finish the play. Bartel McBjarton struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rowan Perth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilcronagh. Rowan Perth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartel McBjarton in the 61st minute of play. Bartel McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Perth having to interfere. Baran McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Perth having to interfere. Rowan Perth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartel McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dermot Horgan fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lougheraherk's protests and gave Dermot Horgan a yellow card for diving instead. 75 minutes into the match, Lougheraherk's goal looked a bit too open when Baran McStephen came free, but Rowan Perth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rowan Perth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartel McBjarton went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilcronagh's goalkeeper Bodibeua Prunty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Baran McStephen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowan Perth was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Kilcronagh's zone, Quinn Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bodibeua Prunty came out of the goal and Quinn Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baran McStephen struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Rowan Perth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilcronagh. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
