Kilcronagh's Bodibeua Prunty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Kilcronagh from getting a goal against them. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loughlin Dempsey to make the kick off. With a little luck, Cloonfinnaun's Boudibiua McIan got control of the ball when Bartel McBjarton tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bragain McPhil fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloonfinnaun's protests and gave Bragain McPhil a yellow card for diving instead. Bragain McPhil hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon McVictor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bodibeua Prunty read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Bragain McPhil might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bodibeua Prunty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bragain McPhil ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bartel McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Loughlin Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Cloonfinnaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loughlin Dempsey couldn't finish the play. When Kilcronagh's Baran McStephen in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cloonfinnaun's goalie prevented a goal. Boudibiua McIan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartel McBjarton in the 94th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
