Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brefni Prunty made the kick off which started today's match. In the 13th minute, Bryan Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lough AFC's Eoin Kirby was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, Mace FC's Brann Mullan got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mace FC's Lou McBrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phelim Caffey in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phelim Caffey got free with Lou McBrand in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bryan Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The nice shot from Eoin Kirby in the 28thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Lou McBrand had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Tady Beckett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lough AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tady Beckett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lou McBrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eoin Kirby succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 39th playminute. Scott McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braden Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Mace FC's Lou McBrand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Mace FC from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eoin Kirby in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lou McBrand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Eoin Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lough AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eoin Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lou McBrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eoin Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lou McBrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lou McBrand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryan Lester went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Bryan Lester charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bryan Lester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lough AFC's Bryan Lester got a free kick in the 65th minute. Scott McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brefni Prunty in the 74th minute of play. Phelim Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou McBrand having to interfere. When Lough AFC's Eoin Kirby in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mace FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mace FC's zone, Artur Callaghan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lou McBrand came out of the goal and Artur Callaghan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Mace FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eoin Kirby came free, but Lou McBrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lou McBrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoin Kirby in the 84th minute of the match. Eoin Kirby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mace FC's Lou McBrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eoin Kirby in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Lough AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
