Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Blaithmeic Hughes got free with Boudibiua McIan in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Cloonfinnaun's Biddy McLaughlin got a free kick in the 17th minute. Boudibiua McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rylee McLiam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Rylee McLiam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnacahoge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rylee McLiam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Bivadi Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Loughlin Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cloonfinnaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loughlin Dempsey couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cloonfinnaun's goalkeeper Boudibiua McIan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Loughlin Dempsey took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Duggan. Alfred Duggan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 38 minutes, Bragain McPhil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cloonfinnaun and the Barnacahoge players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cloonfinnaun getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bragain McPhil hit a great ball. Blaithmeic Hughes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Boudibiua McIan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Rylee McLiam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Cloonfinnaun's Boudibiua McIan got control of the ball when Blaithmeic Hughes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Cloonfinnaun were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rylee McLiam made a kick off. If Blaithmeic Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rylee McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Boudibiua McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leon McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Duggan made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Leon McVictor sent off a good shot on target. Leon McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Duggan having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Rylee McLiam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barnacahoge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Gordon Perth charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gordon Perth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Barnacahoge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Perth to maneuver through the defense. Loughlin Dempsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Duggan having to make a save. Blaithmeic Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Boudibiua McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Blaithmeic Hughes notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cloonfinnaun's Boudibiua McIan. Boudibiua McIan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barnacahoge were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cloonfinnaun for a fine match.
