Bohannon Tierney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art McPhil, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 3 minutes, Ross Gough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dromcunnig and the Glangristeen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ross Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Brecc Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loughlin Dimson in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baydan Keegan saved Glangristeen from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Art McPhil in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bohannon Tierney saved Dromcunnig from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Brecc Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glangristeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Brecc Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bohannon Tierney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Art McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ravan Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Loughlin Dimson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dromcunnig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loughlin Dimson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute Loughlin Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baydan Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Brecc Prunty recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bohannon Tierney. Brecc Prunty showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Art McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bohannon Tierney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Art McPhil came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Glangristeen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Art McPhil couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Dromcunnig getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ravan Scully hit a great ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Art McPhil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glangristeen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Art McPhil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darren McJohn was the one to do the kick off. Dromcunnig's Bohannon Tierney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art McPhil in the 54th minute of play. Bohannon Tierney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art McPhil, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dromcunnig's Bohannon Tierney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art McPhil in the 64th minute of play. Dromcunnig's Darren McJohn got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Brecc Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bohannon Tierney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Art McPhil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glangristeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Art McPhil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bohannon Tierney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85th play minutes Art McPhil shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Bohannon Tierney and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Darren McJohn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baydan Keegan. That made the score 2-1 in the 89 minute of play. When Glangristeen's Art McPhil in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dromcunnig's goalie prevented a goal.
