Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Braoin McPhilip made the kick off which started today's match. Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaithmeic Hughes in the 3rd minute of play. Braoin McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Rylee McLiam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Braoin McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Sheridan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Barnacahoge's Alfred Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Coyle in the 13th minute of play. Ardán Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rylee McLiam in the 21st minute of play. Cahir McGlenn hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barnacahoge's goalkeeper Alfred Duggan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Gortnasate's Braoin McPhilip sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Duggan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Braoin McPhilip notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barnacahoge's Alfred Duggan. Alfred Duggan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Casey Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Duggan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Coyle in the 41st minute of play. Braoin McPhilip took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Duggan. Alfred Duggan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaithmeic Hughes in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Braoin McPhilip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortnasate's supporters rose to their feet, but Braoin McPhilip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Duggan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barnacahoge's Blaithmeic Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gortnasate's zone, Gordon Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beothach McAlphie came out of the goal and Gordon Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rylee McLiam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnacahoge's supporters rose to their feet, but Rylee McLiam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beothach McAlphie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beothach McAlphie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blaithmeic Hughes's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute Blaithmeic Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beothach McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blaithmeic Hughes struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Beothach McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barnacahoge. Casey Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Alfred Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casey Coyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Duggan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Casey Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortnasate's supporters rose to their feet, but Casey Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Duggan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gavin Cassin hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Rylee McLiam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Blaithmeic Hughes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barnacahoge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 95th match minute, Barnacahoge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fachtna McIan to maneuver through the defense.
