Kilcronagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bartel McBjarton kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baran McStephen in the 17th minute of play forced Claggan Utd's goalkeeper Duff Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Kilcronagh fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Kilcronagh's Baran McStephen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kilcronagh's Bodibeua Prunty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoffrey O'Down in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burke Kelly during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 35 minutes into the game, Eoghan Rutherford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilcronagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Claggan Utd the free kick. A collision led to Kilcronagh getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Eoghan Rutherford hit a great ball. Blathmac Gough took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bodibeua Prunty. Kilcronagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Claggan Utd's goalkeeper Duff Doherty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kilcronagh's Bartel McBjarton got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartel McBjarton was the one to do the kick off. During the 52nd minute of the match Eoghan Rutherford completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eoghan Rutherford a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Eoghan Rutherford hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Bartel McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geoffrey O'Down got free with Bodibeua Prunty in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 70 in the game by Geoffrey O'Down from a close distance when the talented Bodibeua Prunty managed to make a qualified save. Kilcronagh's players were relieved. Bodibeua Prunty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Claggan Utd. Baran McStephen hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Geoffrey O'Down received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Bodibeua Prunty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 minutes of play, Claggan Utd's Geoffrey O'Down made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bodibeua Prunty was left in no man's land by his defense there!
