When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Darrin McAaron sped through Lough AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Scott McGlynn. With a little luck, Glangristeen's Baydan Keegan got control of the ball when Eoin Kirby tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Roland McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Eoin Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lough AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eoin Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baydan Keegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Lough AFC's Baydan Keegan threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Phelim Caffey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28th match minute, Glangristeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Joseph Ramsey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glangristeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Ramsey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scott McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The nice shot from Eoin Kirby in the 37thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Baydan Keegan had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Glangristeen's goalkeeper Baydan Keegan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eoin Kirby. Peadair Savic kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Eoin Kirby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baydan Keegan. Glangristeen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eoin Kirby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Art McPhil to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Lough AFC's Tady Beckett got a free kick in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brecc Prunty got free with Scott McGlynn in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peadair Savic hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Eoin Kirby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glangristeen's Baydan Keegan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute, Joseph Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Lough AFC's Treno Savic got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eoin Kirby in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baydan Keegan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brecc Prunty hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Phelim Caffey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eoin Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baydan Keegan having to interfere. Eoin Kirby struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Baydan Keegan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lough AFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brecc Prunty got free with Scott McGlynn in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darrin McAaron's late challenge caught a Lough AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darrin McAaron helped the player get up and apologised. Darrin McAaron kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eoin Kirby in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baydan Keegan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lough AFC had played much better football throughout.
