After a rather tough play, Rossestown's Brenden McNamara got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 12 minutes into the game, Treno Kirby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Beag McDecland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beag McDecland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Treno Kirby in the 15th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Ardsbeg got a freekick which was hit by Rorey Glen Crowe. 25 minutes into the game, Rossestown's Tierney Gollogley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beag McDecland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tierney Gollogley in the 30th minute of play forced Ardsbeg's goalkeeper Beag McDecland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brak Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brain Bayes in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tierney Gollogley in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beag McDecland saved Ardsbeg from getting behind. Beag McDecland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tierney Gollogley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beag McDecland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Treno Kirby in the 36th minute of play. Breed Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Beag McDecland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute Tierney Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beag McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brain Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Phillip Brennan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The Rossestown fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Rossestown's Tierney Gollogley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tierney Gollogley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Treno Kirby might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beag McDecland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Treno Kirby ran back to his position shaking his head. Ardsbeg's Beag McDecland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ardsbeg from getting a goal against them. Carrig Colwell hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Treno Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beag McDecland having to interfere. In the 82nd minute of the match Braoin Frankson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brak Lavine showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Tierney Gollogley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Beag McDecland. The goal made the score 0-4. 91 minutes into the game, Ardsbeg's Rorey Glen Crowe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brak Lavine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
