Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Torrian Grant took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Torrian Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torrian Grant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brigid Gallagher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torrian Grant in the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rawros's zone, Gilian Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Ferguson came out of the goal and Gilian Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Swanlinbar booed when Rawros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard McDecland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harrigan McJohn kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Brigid Gallagher made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Bressail Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Rawros's Thomas Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilian Lester in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torrian Grant in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brigid Gallagher saved Swanlinbar from getting behind. When Derrick Benson fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swanlinbar's protests and gave Derrick Benson a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Rawros defense, Gilian Lester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Ferguson. The Rawros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Ferguson should have stopped the shot. Brigid Gallagher made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Bressail Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Bressail Molloy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Brigid Gallagher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harrigan McJohn fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 41st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torrian Grant in the 43rd minute of play forced Swanlinbar's goalkeeper Brigid Gallagher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Swanlinbar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Torrian Grant scored to the left of an out of position Brigid Gallagher, making the score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilian Lester was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Swanlinbar defense, Bressail Molloy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brigid Gallagher. The Swanlinbar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brigid Gallagher should have stopped the shot. Swanlinbar's Dermot McBrandon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonard McDecland in the 57 minute of the game. Brigid Gallagher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bressail Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Swanlinbar got a freekick which was hit by Bean Doyle. Brigid Gallagher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bressail Molloy, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute, Rolan Prunty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilian Lester who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Thomas Ferguson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Swanlinbar's goal looked a bit too open when Torrian Grant came free, but Brigid Gallagher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Swanlinbar defense, Torrian Grant kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brigid Gallagher. Swanlinbar's Derrick Benson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonard McDecland, made in the 79th minute of the game. Gilian Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Ferguson having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, Swanlinbar's Brecc McFrank made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Ferguson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rawros's goalkeeper Thomas Ferguson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Rawros defense, Gilian Lester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Ferguson.
