Bairne Hughes's late challenge caught a Carranty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bairne Hughes helped the player get up and apologised. Bairne Hughes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Barra McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beale McPaul, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Barra McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beale McPaul in the 16th minute of the match. Justin Scully charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justin Scully the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiomoid Savic kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Daithi McTommy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandan Caffey in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dewain Gough during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ballyvaughan getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Dewain Gough hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ballyvaughan's goal looked a bit too open when Beale McPaul came free, but Barra McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justin Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Artur Martyn sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daithi McTommy skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braoin Grant during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ballyvaughan booed when Carranty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braoin Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Roland Moran fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carranty's protests and gave Roland Moran a yellow card for diving instead. Roland Moran hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beale McPaul made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Beale McPaul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barra McPaul. Ballyvaughan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beale McPaul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Braoin Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ballyvaughan getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bairne Hughes hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Beale McPaul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carranty fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Beale McPaul took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barra McPaul. Barra McPaul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Barra McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beale McPaul, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Carranty's Beale McPaul in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballyvaughan's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Piers Dillon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barra McPaul was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Bairne Hughes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bairne Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi McTommy having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Ballyvaughan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carranty:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dewain Gough kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daithi McTommy. That made the score 3-1 in the 90 minute of play. The supporters of Ballyvaughan booed when Carranty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dewayne Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carranty's Daithi McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dewain Gough in the 98th minute of play. There was no doubt that Carranty were the better team. Carranty's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
