Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bealtaine Cronin started the match with the kick off. Bannan McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Corrawallen AFC's goalkeeper Gerald Gough had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brenda Gallagher. Corrawallen AFC's Gerald Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bealtaine Cronin in the 14th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Corrawallen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Brigid Tierney. In the 22nd minute, Brenda Gallagher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aharney Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Daithi Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bannan McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnaby Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tomás McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Bealtaine Cronin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gerald Gough, passed just outside the right post. Tomás McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daithi Ferguson in the 46th minute of play. Brenda Gallagher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 57th minute, Bealtaine Cronin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Brenda Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Aharney Utd getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hickey Hutton hit a great ball. Aharney Utd's Brenda Gallagher got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bealtaine Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brigid Tierney kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Corrawallen AFC's Brigid Tierney got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bannan McIan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bealtaine Cronin in the 96th minute of play forced Corrawallen AFC's goalkeeper Gerald Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Corrawallen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bealtaine Cronin came free, but Gerald Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aharney Utd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Corrawallen AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
