Thanks to some nice moves Renny McPaul could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Bell McBjarton however easily saved by the left post. Bell McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Dillon in the 13th minute of play. Piers Dillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renny McPaul got free with Bell McBjarton in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bell McBjarton made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Piers Dillon sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Dunany booed when Carranty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartley McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Piers Dillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beale McPaul came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bell McBjarton could save by the left post. Dunany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Beale McPaul scored to the left of an out of position Bell McBjarton, making the score, 1-0. Bell McBjarton made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Renny McPaul sent off a good shot on target. After 39 played minutes Dunany got a freekick which was hit by Dane Coyle. Bell McBjarton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renny McPaul in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Dunany's Dane Coyle got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Roland Moran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bell McBjarton skillfully saved the ball. Dunany's Bell McBjarton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Dunany from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gordan Caffrey made a kick off. A collision led to Carranty getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bartley McJames hit a great ball. When Gordan Caffrey came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Dunany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gordan Caffrey couldn't finish the play. Dunany's Bell McBjarton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beale McPaul in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Carranty getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Braoin Grant hit a great ball. Daithi McTommy was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bhrighde McWillie. In the 78th match minute, Carranty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiomoid Savic to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Carranty's goalkeeper Daithi McTommy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordan Caffrey. Carranty's Renny McPaul got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes, Bearach Mullan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunany and the Carranty players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Dunany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearach Mullan to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carranty fully deserved thier win.
